Camera Compatibility
CaptureCord works with compatible Canon, GoPro and Sony cameras using the wireless communication technology provided by each manufacturer. Because capabilities and connection methods vary between camera models and firmware versions, compatibility cannot be assumed for every camera from a supported manufacturer.
The tables below show the current compatibility status of individual camera models. Tested cameras have been physically tested with CaptureCord using its core automatic photo-transfer workflow. Should be compatible means that the camera provides the required manufacturer interface and is expected to work with CaptureCord, but has not yet been directly tested by us.
Compatibility may also depend on the camera’s firmware and configuration. If your camera isn’t listed, this does not necessarily mean that it is incompatible — please contact support@capturecord.app and we’ll be happy to look into it.

GoPro
CaptureCord 1.0 connects wirelessly using Camera on the Home Network (COHN). “Should be compatible” models have not yet been validated with CaptureCord hardware testing.

Based on GoPro’s published Open GoPro compatibility information and the Open GoPro 0.22.0 runtime bundled with this build. Firmware and camera behavior may affect compatibility.
Canon
CaptureCord connects over Camera Control API (CCAPI) and imports JPEG and RAW files. “Should be compatible” models are based on Canon’s published CCAPI information and await CaptureCord hardware validation.

CCAPI availability, activation requirements, firmware, authentication, and supported API versions vary by camera. A model should be treated as fully supported only after CaptureCord hardware validation.
Sony
CaptureCord connects wirelessly using Sony Camera Remote SDK Remote Transfer Mode. “Should be compatible” models appear in Sony SDK 2.02’s applicable physical-layer support information and await CaptureCord hardware validation.
